BioAlberti lentil has very small seeds bright colours. Since ancient times it has been considered the flesh of the gods poor. It is ideal for soups, purees and soups. Without soaking, cook in boiling water for about 45 minutes. Pack of 500 g in a protected atmosphere.

Nutritional properties
Lentils represent a mine in terms of proteins, fibers, iron, magnesium, and potassium: it is estimated that their content in iron is much higher than in meat. They are very nutritious and energetic: 100 grams of product in fact they bring 291 kcal. They consist of approximately 51% of carbohydrates, 23% protein, 14% fiber, 1% fat and remaining 11% water.

Ingredients for 4 people

Method

  • 250 g of lentils
  • 30 g of diced bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stick of celery
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 sage leaf
  • 400 g of tomato pulp
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste

cubes. Heat three tbsp of oil in a pan, flavor the sage leaf with the bacon and add the vegetables. 

After 10 minutes add the tomato pulp o tomato puree. Drain the boiled lentils, transfer them to the sauce pan, mix and let them flavor for at least 10 minutes. 

Remove from the heat, transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately the stewed lentils.
